Villa MA.

A geometric and sensitive restructuring, where volumes find their balance in dialogue with the site.

Originally a neo-Provençal house, Villa MA. has been completely transformed into a contemporary villa, uncluttered and rooted in its environment. The project required the addition of a basement and a complete rethinking of the volumes, conceived as a cube to be sculpted, opened and protected.

The architectural design was guided by the site’s Mediterranean vegetation: full and empty spaces interact with views, light and relief. An interplay of caps affirms the horizontal nature of the building, while creating shaded, breathable areas for the terraces.

The contrast of materials structures the project: stone for the masses, wood for the hollows, in a warm, mineral palette, echoing the dominant vegetation. The result is a strong visual identity, sober and textured, where nature and architecture meet in a measured way.
